Sushma was diagnosed with Pelvic Chondrosarcoma just recently. Chondrosarcoma is a sarcoma, or malignant tumor of connective tissue. Chondrosarcoma primarily affects cartilage cells of femur (thighbone), arm , knee, or pelvis. The only treatment is surgery for this particular cancer.
Sushma will be coming back to United States for her treatment and they are looking at options to have surgery done at MAYO clinic in Rochester - Minnesota or Memorial Sloan Ketterring Cancer Center - New York.
