Susan Mithun Duncan

Sue was diagnosed with breast and uterine cancer in the spring of 2016.  After a hysterectomy, the uterine cancer quickly metastasized to her kidney and abdomen.  She did four months of chemotherapy in the fall of 2016, while finishing out her term as Santa Fe School Board President.  Unfortunately, the cancer returned in the spring and she entered a clinical trial at MD Anderson, in Houston.   While this appeared at first to be effective, at her most recent doctor's visit her liver was failing and the cancer had become more active again.  She's now receiving Hospice care at home with Cam, Lucia, Anna, baby Lulú, and their loyal dog Tess.  She appreciates the support of family and friends.  We will post occasional health updates on this site and share your loving messages with her.
