Susan started her battle with CLL in 2001. For the last 16 years, she has continued her law practice with Hahn and Hahn, and last March, she completed the four-year march through the Chairs to become the President of ACTEC, all the while receiving treatment at the University of San Diego medical center for her condition.

Due to complications from her CLL treatment, Susan has developed a condition called aplastic anemia. She will be receiving a bone marrow transplant at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle on 11/21.

Susan will be living in Seattle near the hospital for several months as she is recovering. She is immensely grateful for the support she has received from both family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time.
