Hello friends & family, 

I have to say, I never imagined being an “author” on a Caring Bridge site for ANY of my family members, but here we are. Thank you all so much for your care and concern for our sweet Susan. 

As many of you know, we found out in August that mom has ovarian cancer. It was shocking news to all of us but we quickly rallied around her as she gathered all the info and decided on a plan on how to proceed. She has done an AMAZING job of literally transforming her diet. (She even got off of coffee, if you can image that!) She has definitely worked hard and has been vigilant on what she’s putting into her body. 

She is currently working with an oncologist (and team) here in Franklin to determine next steps. They have been very attentive to her needs, so for that we are grateful! The cancer is stage 3 right now, but mom still has a window where she can try some more aggressive treatments. 

Here is how you can pray: 

We are still asking and believing God for total healing! We believe it is possible and He said we could ask...so we are continuing to ask! 

Also, Mom has been very nauseous and overall pretty weak these past few weeks. We are asking God to settle her stomach and nausea so that she has the strength to keep fighting this with some treatments in the next few days and weeks. 

Mom and Dad both need great wisdom and clarity right now on what kind of treatment would be best because of the fact that she’s so weak. We would appreciate your prayers as they make those decisions currently. 

I will be journaling to keep you all updated as Shaun, Eric and I and our families come around our parents in this time. Overall, the next few weeks feel crucial in Mom’s journey. If you know people who know Mom and Dad, please pass along this site so that we can rally others to pray! 

We are continuing to trust God in total surrender in these days. We believe that He is good no matter what and it’s in that hope that we carry on today.
