Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. Susan is looking forward to being in touch with you in person but wants to make sure she doesn't miss updating anyone--and the injury, surgery and medicines have made her a little fuzzy and tired. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement and look forward to continuing to talk and text with you. Thank you for visiting.

(*****We have heard from some of you that this site is asking you for money. We did not know that! Please be aware that any money you send does NOT go to Susan, or to help with any of her expenses--it goes to the Caringbridge company. They do not charge us for the website, so don't worry about us needing help with that.***** )

Backstory:  On November 30th 2020, Susan broke her left upper arm taking off her boots (she’s a lefty). No fall was involved. This led her doctors to eventually discover that the bone had been severely weakened by some sort of tumor. After two x rays, an MRI, a CT, several rounds of blood tests, six weeks of trying to get around with a badly broken arm in just a sling (ouch!), a bone biopsy (ouch!), and a SECOND break of the same bone (double ouch!), the doctors decided it was some kind of sarcoma, and it needed to come out ASAP. The pathology report from the surgery showed it was a high-grade osteosarcoma.
