After the holiday season in 2017, Susan went in for a routine chest X-ray in January for a follow-up from a prior appointment. The results revealed a mass near her thymic tissue that required further follow-up. After appointments and tests with doctors at Georgetown University Hospital, Susan was diagnosed with mediastinal non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Susan's course of treatment began almost immediately following the diagnosis, and will be a combination of in-patient and out-patient chemotherapy.
Susan is loved and supported by a wonderful group of family and friends, and we want to use this website as a way to provide periodic updates in this fight.
