Sam Rauwerdink Super Sam's Story

First post: Jul 11, 2017 Latest post: Apr 26, 2018
On July 20, 2014 Sam had his first seizure, which started his medical journey.  On this journey, Sam endured many medical tests, CT scans, MRI's, a home EEG study, 3 EEG studies at Children's, a variety of seizure medications, and a multitude of visits with doctors, neurologists, neuropsychologists, and surgeons.  When the seizures weren't controlled with the medications, Sam became a candidate for surgery.  This surgery consists of placing electrodes throughout the frontal lobes (9 on the left side and 3 on the right), and the information from this will determine if they will do another surgery to repair the point of the brain where the seizures start.   Keep praying and stay tuned....
