Sue Nauert Sue Nauert's Journey

First post: Apr 24, 2017 Latest post: Sep 17, 2017
Sue was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in October of 2016. Multiple Myeloma is a cancer of the plasma cells that are located in the bone marrow. After a fractured vertebrae, fractured pelvis, several rounds of chemo and a lot of fight in her; the numbers of her lab results were down to the perfect place to proceed with a stem cell transplant at Froedert Hospital under Dr. Hari's care. Stem cell transplant is a very common part of treatment for this disease. This has been quite a ride for Sue already and her transplant was supposed to be the final leg of the journey. Now that the transplant is over, a new set of problems has worked it's way into what we thought was a great transplant and road to health. Sue is now fighting for her life  with an extremely rare form of myeloma that is in her soft tissue instead of just in her bone marrow. Welcome to Sue's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support, prayer and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting!
