My sweet friend Sue was diagnosed with IMO (Intestinal Methanogen Overgrowth) in January 2022. This digestive disorder causes malnourishment due to lack of nutritional absorption. Sue’s weight bottomed out at 77 pounds - putting her BMI (Body Mass Index) at a dangerously low 14%! These numbers, along with labs from late February indicate that Sue’s body is starving.
