Last week i broke my hip.  i drove the horse i was jumping home then myself.  this last Monday, july 31, we went to the ER to see what had happened.  i thought bone bruse or possible fracture.  So im not really concerned, I've broken many bones in my life, another one? so the ER does what they do, then i go to xray.  They take 3 - 5 xrays and no doc comes back in the xray tech says " we need more xrays to prep you for surgery.  Surgery?  in comes the doc, not quickly, but comes in, tells me i have  serverly broken hip and I need surgery.  Fortunately i have an orthopedic doc in this chain of medical.  So eventually she comes in, probably around going home time and shes the oncall doc of the day.  The ER doc was very cool, he took pics of my xrays with my phone which is super.  This blog is abou the goods and bads of having a broken hip.  This ER experience was on 7/31/17
