Stuart entered Region's Hospital Emergency on Tuesday, 11/17 with a low oxygen level. Managing Covid-like symptoms at home, this was clearly a red-flag. He tested positive at the hospital. (I had tested positive two weeks before and Stuart tested negative.)  Other oxygen delivery systems were not doing the job, so with the knowledge and wisdom provided by the Doctors, Stuart decided to go on a ventilator. He was diagnosed with Covid Pneumonia in both lungs. While the  situation was serious, it was not predictable. With Covid, while there are common concerns across the board, there is no particular trajectory.  Each day had its own challenges. I received daily updates from a member of his medical team, and updated this site daily, or when there was something notable to report.  Despite of all Region's extraordinary efforts, compassion, and generosity, Stuart passed to new life on 12/9.  What follows is the story of our journey and updates on financial contributions from this Caring Bridge Community to thank the staff, and to make it easier for families and friends to connect with those they love.

We love you and thank you for every bit of support you provided for both Stuart and for me.

Please take the actions that keep you and the people you love safe. Don't breath anybody else's air.
