Steve tested positive for Covid on Tuesday Dec. 15. He went to the hospital and was admitted on Sunday, Dec. 20. He was moved into his room early Monday morning, Dec. 21.
On Tuesday Dec. 22, Steve was diagnosed with pneumonia and on Wednesday afternoon Dec. 23. Steve was moved to ICU, as a precaution, not necessarily because of a change in his symptoms or medical stats.
Since his move to ICU, Steve has been alert and able to communicate with his wife NeAnn, his children, and grandchildren, which has been an encouragement to all of us.
It was very difficult to be apart from “Papa” on Christmas morning, and to forego our normal Trice family brunch. We miss each other and Steve terribly, but have experienced comfort and direction from God. We believe Steve is receiving the care that he needs.
Steve and NeAnn know they are well loved and appreciate your continued prayers for Steve’s full recovery and NeAnn’s health protection and strength. We have given them permission not to respond to all the messages, texts and emails. It is our desire to centralize this communication process and to express our gratitude for your love, concern and prayers. Feel free to add your encouragement, prayers and love here as well!
A hospitalized Steve Trice is no less full of the Hope of Jesus Christ. Steve is constantly giving out of the riches and goodness of Jesus. He is speaking about the wonderful conversations he is having with the LORD and always has a scripture and quote from the apostle Paul at the ready. As Steve continues to witness, we too experience tremendous encouragement and are Hope-filled! It is our sincere prayer that you also will receive this Hope and experience God’s peace that surpasses understanding through Immanuel-God with us. (Romans 15:13, Philippians 4:7, Matthew 1:23)
