Welcome to Steve Schwartzberg's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family, friends, and widely scattered beloveds updated about Steve's health. At the end of May, 2021, Steve was unexpectedly diagnosed with adenocarcinoma / metastatic lung cancer. Several weeks after the diagnosis, genetic testing revealed a specific mutation in the cancer cells -- an "EGFR mutation with exon-19 deletion" -- for which there is now a known management available, a once-daily pill called Osimertinib. Steve began taking Osimertinib at the end of June, and has slowly and steadily been recuperating. The Osimertinib is not a cure, but is considered an effective strategy for treating the cancer for an unknown duration of time.
Every Thursday, at 11:55am PST / 2:55 EST, a group of friends are offering a five minute silent offering of healing light and love for Steve. The offering originated with a circle of friends in Palm Springs California, and is now being offered from locations around the globe. All are welcome to participate, in whatever way you choose.
Please read the journal entries for a fuller explanation of what's happening with Steve. Your words of support, hope, love, and encouragement are greatly appreciated. Thank you for visiting.
