Steve and Victoria started feeling ill on 9/10 with flu-like symptoms. They isolated and worked on getting better by themselves until consulting with a virtual doctor on 9/20 about their at home pulse ox monitor readings being low. The doctor suggested they go to the hospital and Victoria called Rachel to come drive them to the ER where they were diagnosed with Covid-19. They waited in the ER for 7 hours without being seen or provided any care and decided to leave with Rachel staying over with them at their home and the plan to try again in the morning at the ER. In the early morning of 9/21, Steve got up to move from his sleeping position and either lost his balance or passed out, hitting his head on a cabinet in the process. Victoria heard it happen and yelled to wake Rachel up, at which point Rachel called 911. An ambulance took him back to the hospital.

Steve suffered a head laceration and brain bleed from the fall. He is suspected to have a clot in his lungs and has Covid-related pneumonia. He spent 7 days in a lower unit at Kennestone Hospital before being transferred to the ICU on 9/28.  He is critically ill and nearing the point of intubation to be placed on a mechanical vent.

Any prayers, love, thoughts, positivity sent his way and to our family are much appreciated.
