"We are all vulnerable, and we will all, at some point in our lives... fall. We will all fall. We must carry this in our hearts... that what we have is special. That it can be taken from us, and when it is taken from us, we will be tested. We will be tested to our very souls. We will now all be tested. It is these times, it is this pain, that allows us to look inside ourselves." ~ Eric Taylor
Steve was hospitalized earlier this week following a self-inflicted gun shot wound and remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit. We can only speculate that Steve was completely overcome by despair and feelings of helplessness that none of us who are reading this message could possibly begin to comprehend.  The outpouring of support for Steve, Alex, Jack and Libby has been astounding. It's obvious people care very deeply about the Nolan family. This has been an incredibly challenging time. There is no easy way to understand what happened, if there is a way at all. The shock and grief surrounding all that has happened has been overwhelming. We are sure everyone is experiencing mixed emotions and has the need to understand. The need to understand why may be a difficult path, as circumstances surrounding this are unclear. Some questions may never be answered.  The desire to know details surrounding this tragic event is a natural curiosity but it is simply too painful to answer. Out of respect and privacy for the family we are not sharing any details. The updates on this site will be focused on Steve's progress and ways to support Alex, Jack and Libby. Please continue to follow this site as we learn of, and add ways that Steve's circle can help him and his family.
