Steve Murtaugh

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated about Steve's cancer battle in one place. Steve was diagnosed this Fall with a very rare squamous cell cancer of the urethra that has spread to his inguinal (groin) lymph nodes. He began aggressive treatment on Dec. 27 at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia for which he needs to be hospitalized for 4 days at a time to receive 3 different types of chemo. He will then have 3 weeks off to recover before receiving treatment again. There will be 4 rounds in total, most likely followed by surgery to remove all of his inguinal lymph nodes. He has a long road ahead, but we know that we can get through it with your support and words of hope and encouragement. Please keep him in your prayers. Thank you for visiting.
