As many of you know, our friend Steve recently received a diagnosis of multiple myeloma.  Multiple myeloma (also called bone marrow cancer or plasma cell myeloma) is a type of cancer that begins in the blood's plasma cells and can cause tumors in multiple locations throughout the bone marrow. Until just a few months ago Steve was as active as ever exercising and working on their hill country property. He started to development a discomfort in his lower back and hip area. After visits to an orthopedic doctor didn't yield results, he was referred to an oncologist where he was properly diagnosed.

As you can all imagine, there wouldn't be enough hours in the day for Steve and Martha to update ALL of us who will want to follow his progress over the next few months.  So...we are setting up this CaringBridge site to keep everyone updated with his progress and anything that pops up where we might be able to help out.

Steve and Martha are so very grateful for the (already) wonderful outpouring of love and support that has come their way.  They want everyone to know they are 'feeling the love'!  For now, add Steve and Martha to your prayers and check in here for updates!
