Steve Marshall

Steve's cancer journey started at the end of 2016 and has been steadily moving forward since. Although that is when he and the family found out about the cancer, it had been growing inside of him for many years and at that point had reached  stage 4 prostate cancer. He started radiation and chemotherapy right away. Since the first treatment, he has tried 2 different types of chemotherapy, neither of which have worked. At the end of 2017, Steve became a patient at M.D. Anderson In Texas, which is a leading cancer research center in the US. From there, he was placed on a tier 1 trial. Although the trial seemed promising, after 4 rounds of treatment, he was re-scanned and the results showed even more tumors and cancer growth. This means that he could no longer be on the trial. After meeting with his doctors at M.D. Anderson and his doctors here at home, he and Lee Anne decided that it was time to move him to hospice, which he can do at home, Lord willing.  Over the year and half since the diagnosis there have been many sad and emotional times but the Lord has blessed the family and Steve with so many good and special memories. Steve and Lee Anne where able to get away just the two of them for a week in Bermuda, the whole family was able to spend a week in myrtle beach relaxing and looking back at fond memories. Steve and Lee Anne both just came back from a missions trip to Mexico. For anyone who knows Steve, they know that his heart and soul are geared not only for the Lord here in North Canton but for the mission field as well. This trip was good for the soul, mind, and heart. They where truly blessed to be able to go.
