Steve Hutchison

On  Thursday, January 31st in his home, Steve Hutchison suffered a ruptured aneurysm in his brain. As we all know,  Steve always answers his phone! When a close friend could not get through to Steve, she reached out to me, Jamie Fowler, to check on Steve. Immediately alarmed we went to Steve's apartment where we eventually found him incapacitated on the floor of his bedroom.

Steve was transported via ambulance to Kaiser Oakland. After a battery of tests, the doctor announced that Steve had suffered a ruptured aneurysm on his left frontal lobe. His condition  required neuro surgery. So he was transferred again to Kaiser Neuro-ICU in Redwood City in the middle of the night. Jamie and Maddy joined Steve in Redwood City around 4am.

This morning, I met with the surgeon. He explained that Steve needed a craniotomy in order to access the aneurysm. The surgeon expected the surgery to be difficult. Although there are many possible complications with the surgery, Jamie and Maddy believe along with Steve's medical team that the surgery is the best chance that Steve has for survival and recovery.  Steve has a long road in front of him. He will need all of our prayers, support and love. God bless Steve!
