Steve Boardman started not feeling great back in October 2017. He had some pain in his back and indigestion on a regular basis. He went to the Dr to get his heart checked out and it was fine. A few weeks later, he suspected gallstones. After an ultrasound, it was confirmed that he had gallstones and would get his gallbladder removed. He went to a surgeon and got his surgery scheduled 2 days after he met with the surgeon.
On December 14, he went in for the routine gallbladder laparoscopic surgery. While they were in there, they discovered Steve's abdomen was full of cancer. The surgeon closed him up and did not end up removing his gallbladder.
