To begin, Stephen had been having pains in his abdomen for about 2 months that would come and go. After a CT scan, a PET scan and a biopsy, we finally received the news of why he was having so much discomfort.
On December 10, 2020, we received confirmation that Stephen has “Metastatic NeuroEndocrine Poorly Differentiated Pancreatic Carcinoma.” He has a tumor on the body and tail of his pancreas that is cancerous and has spread to other areas. He has Stage IV pancreatic cancer.
Although this is not the news that we would have liked to receive, we have a great team of doctors that have shown us a great amount of support in our journey so far.
I will be posting updates regularly so that you all know how he is progressing through his treatments and how we, as a family, are coping as we go through this difficult time.
We are so appreciative and grateful to all of you that have reached out to us, to those who are praying for us and to all of you for caring and loving us!
Stephen is strong and will not give up in this fight to beat his cancer!
