On April 7, 2017, our son Stephen, at the age of 27, was diagnosed with stomach cancer.   Stomach cancer, also called gastric cancer, is a form of cancer that occurs due to abnormal and uncontrolled cell growth in the stomach.  More than 26,000 Americans will develop stomach cancer this year, according to the Center for Didease Control and Prevention.  He is undergoing treatment at MD Anderson in Houston and his fiancé Caitlin, mother Teresa and I have been overwhelmed by the tremendous love and support received, especially by his Sun Tan City colleagues, Naperville, IL friends, and of course his friends and family in Louisville.   Our biggest ask is for ongoing prayers and acts of kindness in Stephen's name as he fights vigorously to defeat this disease.
