Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
On Friday August 16th Stephen returned form a short motorcycle ride & upon his return he fell to the ground and began to seize.  He was immediately rushed to the emergency room. Initial findings through an MRI showed multiple (and very deep incurable) tumors in his brain.  Over the next several days, many tests & lots of conversations it was determined that he had 3 options as far as treatment.  All with great risks & none with long life expectancy. After discussing as a family, with a medical team and listening to Stephen's desires we all felt deep peace that he should return home and we began to work with hospice to give him the most quality days for as many days as we can.  In terms of quality days, the doctors have said it will likely be weeks and not months.
We don't know how this journey will unfold, but we are at peace & we're focused on cherishing the time we have left with him!
Thank you for the outpouring of love & support.  The entire family & Dad have truly felt it!
