Welcome to our CaringBridge website.  Stephen was diagnosed with colon cancer in the spring of 2015 after a mass was removed from his colon.  Chemo ensued but then in January of 2017, two implantation masses were removed from his abdomen.  Chemo wasn't recommended after this surgery but then in June a PET scan showed positive for a spot in the lymph node of his groin and so chemo was started.  A PET scan in September showed more positive spots in his groin and in the mesentery (the tissue that basically keeps the colon in place) and thus a new chemo regiment was started.  He is also using mistletoe extract, a treatment shown to have positive results in cancer treatment.
