The past few weeks have been a shocker for us. Here's the quick backstory: on January 10 I had a sharp pain in my side that sent me to the doctor. Following a series of tests, I learned that I have stage IV colon cancer that has spread to my liver. My team at Kaiser has mapped out the first steps of my treatment, which will involve chemo every week for approximately 6 months.
At this point we're not really sure what we're going to need, so we'll keep the CaringBridge updated.
