My story does not begin the day I was diagnosed with breast cancer, nor does it define me.

My story begins in 1964. I was born on December 15, 1964 in Harrisburg, PA to Barry Warfield and Carolyn Seaman (Shaffner). I spent much of my childhood in the Camp Hill area attending the West Shore School District with my younger brother, Tony. I graduated from Hershey High in 1982. My first son, Ryan Michael was born on September 28, 1984. My daughter, Amanda Leigh followed closely behind on December 31, 1985.  My youngest son Benjamin Joseph was a few years later on September 24, 1988. My children are my whole world and greatest pride and joy. I raised my children in Palmyra, PA and watched them all graduate and begin lives of their own. Amanda married her husband, Nicholas Barger in May 2017 and Ben married his wife, Ashlee Jones in October 2019. I have one granddaughter, Kelsi Erin (Ryan) and one fur grandbaby, Moose (Ben & Ashlee).

In 2013 I met James Groff who I love and adore with my whole heart. He gives me hope, purpose, memories and many laughs everyday. He gives me so much strength and encouragement everyday and I couldn't be more grateful to have him in my life. We enjoy spending our free time outdoors; camping, riding motorcycles, joy rides in my late father's 1966 Mustang, finding new restaurants to stop at and reading plaques all over the country.

I cannot express how thankful I am to be surrounded by so much love and support from both family and friends during this time. Please use this platform to check in from time to time for recent updates on treatment, health or any needs we may have. At this time we have everything we need so please do not hesitate to just send words of encouragement and thoughtful letters. My daughter, Amanda will be readily available to answer any questions as these next few months I will be focused on treatment.
