On September 21st, 2021, our beloved Stephanie was diagnosed with DCIS- Ductal Carcinoma in Situ- a malignant breast cancer tumor, at only 37 years old. Thankfully, Steph opted for a mammogram at a routine health exam and the doctors were able to discover and biopsy the cancer early. To prevent the chance of future tumors, and to eradicate the cancer that is there, Steph will be having a double Mastectomy on Friday December 10th (this has been changed from the original appointment of Wednesday December 8th).
