On Sunday, August 28th, Sten had a tubing accident hitting his head on a buoy outside of Fish Creek, resulting in significant brain trauma. Thanks to the quick action of the friends he was with, Sten was rescued and put into the hands of EMS and flown to the ER at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. It was determined there that he had a skull fracture and broken bones in his sinus area, but no neck or spinal injuries, and no other broken bones. He was transferred to the Pediatric ICU at the St. Vincent Children's Hospital, where he has been receiving exemplary care by a great team of doctors and nurses.
