I was diagnosed with breast cancer February 1, after mammogram/sonogram and biopsy. I was shocked but I do notice a big lump on my right chest. All kinds of emotions ran through me the whole weekend! I don’t know what to think and am scared. Fortunately I do have friends to check in with; I’m so lucky to have them supporting me.

I met with Dr Jenevieve Hughes at Methodist Richardson on 2/7, she told me my cancer is Stage 1B Invasive lobular carcinoma.  She is caring, charming, and explained everything about breast cancer and possible treatment options. I’m relieved and feeling hopeful. Her staff scheduled me to meet with oncologists for radiation and Chemotherapy next week; and also preparation for surgery. If all tests come back in line with what Dr Hughes think, I can be in surgery either 2/15 or 2/20.

I’ll update you all when I know more.

Love,
Stella
