With a heavy heart, I am sharing that my beloved husband, Brian, passed away June 6 in a car accident in Fredericksburg, Texas. We were on vacation celebrating our 15th anniversary and my 50th birthday with friends. I sustained severe injuries—fractures in my back (T12) and neck (C6), broken left wrist, amputation of part of my left index finger, and cut tendons in the same hand.
We will hold memorials for Brian when I am further along in my recovery. In the meantime, in lieu of flowers or other gifts, please consider donations to the Humane Society, Nature Conservancy, or Women for Women International in Brian's memory.
I am now facing a long road of rehab and healing. Thankfully, my family and friends are incredibly suppportive and helping me on my journey of recovery. I am now home from the hospital in TX, staying with my sister in Columbia, SC, while I begin my rehabilitation.
