On May 25th Stan went in for a CT scan of his brain. He was rushed to the Emergency room and taken to surgery to fix a subdural hematoma. On Saturday the 27th the nurses started to think that he had a change in his level of consciousness. He went to have an emergency CT scan done and they found that he had a stoke. He had surgery again, and this time a piece of his skull was left off to help with swelling in the brain. He was in the neuro/trauma ICU at Essentia in Duluth until yesterday, May 31st. He has now been moved out onto the step down unit at Essentia.
