Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most. As most of you know, after months of pain and desperately seeking answers, mom was diagnosed with -high grade diffuse large B cell non-hodgkins lymphoma. I am starting this caring bridge page so friends and family can follow her through this journey. Many of you ask for updates and such and it is sometimes difficult to talk to everyone individually. We don't want to leave anyone out! The prayers, texts, calls, visits and meals sent are uplifting and appreciated more than can be written in words. All of this still seems beyond our realm of reality. As with anyone who hears, "you have cancer", it doesn't easily sink in. In fact, you think, if you don't say The C Word, it doesn't give it life or truth. It doesn't belong to you or your loved one. This is someone else's story... But, in fact, it has become an unexpected and unwelcome chapter in our lives...I say "we" and "our" because cancer doesn't belong to just my mom. It affects the entire family. She has the diagnosis, she has the medical chart with her name on it. But she does not carry the burden alone. She will not fight alone. WE will ride this storm out together, every step forward, step back, every struggle, every victory is OURS. In approximately six months from now, I will post and ask you to like her picture on Facebook- holding her sign that says, "last chemo treatment". Until then, I will share updates and prayer requests through caring bridge. Please feel free to leave positive thoughts and prayers!
