Welcome to Stacy's Caring Bridge page, please keep updated on her journey. Hi everyone! Thanks for visiting, I am hoping you will come back often to keep up to date with Stacy's journey. As Stacy's older sister, I will attempt to keep everyone updated via this site so that Stacy can concentrate on her treatments and her journey. Let's get started. Some of you have heard from Stacy first hand, others will be reading it here for the first time, I encourage you to reach out to Stacy here and to obviously reach out in other ways. Stacy had been experiencing some discomfort and bloating in her lower stomach, she went to see her primary doctor with no results. Deciding that she needed a second opinion, Stacy went to see her GYN, who sent her immediately to see a oncologist for a biopsy. On Tuesday, February 11th, Stacy was told that she had a tumor and that the doctor was more than certain it was cancer. Stacy was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the cervix. Over the past weeks, Stacy has had more appointments and had a PET scan, those results were that it is stage 3C and has spread to her lymph nodes. So with this diagnosis, Stacy has started on a journey, that we never want anyone to take. What's next, March 23rd, Stacy will begin 6 & a half weeks of intense treatment with 1 day weekly of chemotherapy and 4 days of radiation then weekends off. From then we will see where she goes. Please again visit often and stay updated on Stacy's journey. We will also be setting up a Gofund Me page, so that we can all help give a little extra support to Stacy, to help relieve at least some of her financial concerns. I will add a link as soon as it is set up and ready to go.
