Now that reality has set in, appointments have been set and the many Drs have been met, I can say that my biggest hero, my mother, is officially fighting the biggest fight she has yet. June 17th my mom, Stacy, went to the ER with hip pain so sever she could hardly walk. Mom had spent the previous four days with Shelby and Grayson doing literally everything they wanted to do. She was exhausted and her body couldn’t heal and she just couldn’t take it anymore. The emergency room Dr was very concerned because of her medical history (5 year Breast cancer survivor) and did a CT scan. He helped her relieve her pain and sent her home. The next morning, June 18th, her Oncologist called her wanting to see her immediately, so she went back to Birmingham. That is when she found out she has multiple tumors in her hip bones and sacrum, along with her spine and right frontal calvarium. Mother also has two vertebrae fractures. Her Oncologist told her it was either bone cancer or her breast cancer had came back.  She wanted to do a biopsy ASAP. Now that her results are back and everything is set in place we now know her breast cancer has came back, this time in her bones. Our goal is Palliative treatment to reduce the spread to any part of her body. To do that she will undergo four consecutive weeks of radiation, hormone therapy, bone therapy, then surgery to her spine. Last mom will have chemotherapy.  Which will be three weeks on, one week off.  The Dr will do a CT scan every 3 months to see if the cancer is responding and if it is she will continue with the same treatment. If not, her chemo will be changed. Mother has a long road ahead of her. Although there is no cure for her cancer, the treatment mother will receive is to improve the quality of life for her. We do believe God is the ultimate healer, so we ask everyone to please pray for her complete healing.

Thank you, Christy💕
