Stacey LaBelle Stacey Kicking Cancer

First post: May 12, 2020 Latest post: Nov 19, 2020
Welcome to another crazy adventure in our family's life. As most of you know, I was scheduled to have a hysterectomy on 5/4/2020. Once in the OR it was discovered I have cervical cancer and the hysterectomy was called off. I was awaken in a regular room with Jeremy and my doctor in there waiting, which already sent off red flags due to the COVID restrictions, I knew Jeremy wasn't allowed in the room. On 5/8/2020 I met with Dr. Heffernen (oncologist) to see if a radical hysterectomy would be able to remove the tumor and fast track my healing and recovery process. Upon exam, it was determined that the tumor is too large for surgical removal and I will be undergoing radiation treatments for 25-30 weeks.
