Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

I have breast cancer and begin my fight Tuesday morning with a bilateral mastectomy and augmentation. If they do not find cancer when they pull my lymph nodes I may be able to avoid chemotherapy. I am healthy and strong and lucky that I can do two surgeries in one:) I am also number SIX on my mothers side of breast cancer SURVIVORS. I have strangely found the hardest and most anxiety inducing part has been repeating myself, and answering questions to those that love and care for me. I appreciate the overwhelming love... I have used humor to fight back the tears. But I love and appreciate all your love and concerns and will keep you all posted as soon as I feel mentally strong enough to get the words out. To ALL my lady friends. ONE in FOUR of you is at risk. That is the statistic! GET YOUR MAMMOGRAMS as soon as you can, especially if you have family history. And do regular breast exams as that is how I found mine! Love you ALL.
