Soren McAlpine

Soren was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) Saturday, May 13th 2017. He has began chemotherapy through his port in his chest as well as in his spine. When they did a spinal tap they found blood containing the cancerous cells in his spinal fluid. We need 3 negative results to be in the clear for his spine. Soren will continue to receive intense treatment this month, twice a week for 28 days and will slow down a bit after that.  Depending on how this month goes, he will then do once a week. If everything is progressing after that he will go in every 10 days for chemotherapy by mid July!  Soren will continue with treatment for the next 3 years making sure all the cancerous cells are gone from his blood. Soren is receiving his treatment down at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis, with some of the nicest oncologist and nurses we have ever had the pleasure of meeting.  Soren is a spunky little 2 year old who loves life and everyone he meets. We are so very proud of him and how brave and understanding he is and has been throughout this whole process.
