At our 20 week ultrasound, we found out Sophie has an abnormality with her heart that is called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. She has had one open heart surgery and 3 heart caths. She was able to be discharged at the beginning of January and has been growing and doing well since. In a couple months, we will have to take her back to Omaha for a second surgery. In the meantime, we are soaking up all the snuggles with our heart warrior!
