Welcome to our CaringBridge website for Sonja. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.

On November 2nd, Sonja will be having surgery on her brain called Chiari Malformation 1 decompression with dural patch.

After almost a week in the hospital, she'll be at home recovering for about a month+. While incredibly scary for us all, we are so blessed to know there's no tumor, and thrilled a series of fortunate (happenstance) events discovered and diagnosed her.

Explanation of her diagnosis/surgery:

Thankfully Sonja has no pain and is one incredibly tough little 8-year-old. We know she's going to rock this and continue to be the fiery, tough, and amazingly bright little lady we all adore!

Love, love, love,

Sonja's Family
