Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

In May of 2018, Son went into the hospital with a swollen abdomen, and some pain. He was admitted and a few days later found out that his liver was failing. Son was (unknowingly) born with Hep. B, and over his lifetime his liver has been working too hard and getting sicker.

In September 2018, Son had a very long hospital stay at Methodist and was eventually transferred to the U of M hospital. At that visit they started the process of getting him on the transplant list.

For the past 13 months, we have been waiting for a call that there is a liver for Son.

The process is long and stressful. Son has become unable to work, has been pretty much bed bound, and has been in and out of the hospital more times than we can count.

Son, Amy and Noah are surrounded by an amazing team of support! Friends, family, co-workers, and even supportive strangers. They are so thankful for the love and support, and will continue to need that as the journey continues.
