Sofie Zuluaga

She was diagnosed on Nov. 16, 2011, at the age of 6, with stage 4 kidney cancer (Wilms tumor).  It had metastasized throughout her abdomen and lungs. Treatment began immediately.
REMISSION ~ Aug. 6, 2012: After 10 months of treatment, Sofie was taken off treatment as her cancer appeared to be gone. 
RELAPSE ~ On May 28th, 2013, a large tumor was found on scan in Sofie's right lung. Treatment began again. 
REMISSION ~ On May 19, 2014, after 1 year on treatment, there was no visible sign of tumor in the lung. She stopped treatment. 
RELAPSE ~ On January 16, 2015 a large tumor was found on scan in Sofie's chest. The fight continues....AGAIN!! 
5/28-17 - Sofie passed away peacefully in the care of Hospice and in the presence of all her family.  Fly high, sweet girl.
