My mom was misdiagnosed Friday the 21st of April as being septic with elevated ammonia levels. She was confused and lethargic and over the next few days became aphasic. By Gods grace Tuesday Dr. Gali (who will forever remain an angel in my eyes) discovered the mistake and diagnosed my mom as having had a brain mass with much swelling on the left side of her brain and promptly had her accepted and flown out to UMC. My moms true story is a great one. A mom, a Grandma, a sister, a daughter, a teacher, a friend, a little league cheerleader, and a fighter - first of non-alcoholic cirrhosis and now of a brain mass. There isn't enough time in the world to tell you her whole story, but here we can talk about her journey home.
