2017 August 28

I have been diagnosed with Lymphoma cancer on June or July 2016. Started chemotherapy in August 2016 at North York General Hospital.. Eight session  of CHOP ending January or  February 2017. Then 18 session of radiotherapy,  February-March. In April, I took a one week all inclusive vacation in Cuba. Upon  my return in Toronto, on night in May, I ate 15 green raw not ripe plums.  Had stomach pains, so bad I had to go to hospital emergency, where I was given strong pain killers, and was subject to a blood test and some cat scan. I was hospitalized for a few days with antibiotic and a biopsy. Result of biopsy was cancer had spread to abdomen cavities and liver. In June 2017, I started chemotherapy at Princess Margaret Hospital. Six sessions of GDP. Originally planned for every three weeks but after the second chemo scheduled for every 4 weeks at my request, agreed with the oncologist.
I am scheduled for a 5th chemo on September 12.
Meanwhile I am subject to blood test every week. Checking my hemoglobin, which goes very low after each chemo. I was proposed to have blood transfusion after the second or third chemo when my platelet went to 13 unit, very low. I refused and worked on diet to bring up cell counts, successfully.
Today, August 28th, cell counts went low again, but at 24 for platelet, was enough to let me go back home without blood transfusion.
My next blood test, is next Monday.
