E Komo Mai!  Welcome to Shirley Wetzel’s memorial web page created and maintained by her son, Reef.  I know she would have greeted you personally if she could have with her signature big smile and offered you a glass of champagne while you were sharing a note or memory, a sweet sentiment, or a special photo.  Please feel free to share your thoughts and aloha as I believe she is watching over us now as one of those great cloud of witnesses.  Also, we welcome any photos that you might want to share -- perhaps they might become part of the slideshow at her service!

The service will be held the morning of Friday, March 8th, at the Outrigger Canoe Club at 8am, and will be officiated by Pastor In Kwon Jun of Christ United Methodist Church.   As the service concludes, half of Shirley’s ashes will be taken by canoe to be scattered off of Waikiki beach.  Shirley requested that the other half of her ashes be inurned at Po’okela Church on Maui next to her mother and father.  This graveside service will occur at a later time.

If you would like to attend Shirley’s memorial service, RSVPs are required.  Kindly email us at swetzels.life.party@gmail.com (mailto:swetzels.life.party@gmail.com).

Please note, the Outrigger Canoe Club has a firm dress code - appropriate dress is required - no shorts, or flip flop sandals are allowed.  Also, the Club will not have any parking available for our service, however street parking is available nearby.
