Welcome to Shirley Sands [Maiden name Smith] Caring Bridge Site. 
I am one of Grandma Shirley's many grand children. I am hoping this will help keep the entire family updated on her health journey. 
Grandma Shirley has 5 children with her ex-husband Ewald Ritzer. Her children are Barbara, Betty, Mary, Mike, and Robert Joe Ritzer.  All 5 children live in the Pacific Northwest. She has a home in Hermiston, OR. She had been staying with Robert Joe and his partner Charlotte [Sue] Duwelius in Hermiston, OR prior to being admitted to Kadlec.
Grandma Shirley battled Stage 3 Fallopian Tube cancer. She pulled thru and has been in remission for around a decade. 

9/19/21 she was admitted to Kadlec after being taken there by Robert Joe and his partner Sue.
