Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.    After battling breast cancer for most of 2017, our family received more bad cancer news in April 2018, when Shirley was diagnosed with Stage 4 Gastric Cancer.   Shirley is battling this disease like she fought breast cancer.  She is undergoing treatment at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and at the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Baton Rouge.    Shirley is the heart and soul of our family.  Her strength in the face of this adversity inspires us all.    Shirley's deep Catholic faith has given her the resolve to fight for life and hope for the best, but to also accept the will of God whatever it may be.  Thank you for loving, praying for, and supporting our family.     Darrel, Shirley, Jude, and Anna Papillion
