This fundraiser is for the family of Kitty Wright, who has been a second mother to me. Kitty is 74 years old and is a diabetic. She is currently under hospice care and has been told she does not have long to live.
Kitty has a mountain of medical bills as well as an equity loan on her home where she lives with her daughter, grandsons, and loving cats and dog who never leave her side. She is terrified to leave this world with these expenses threatening to leave her family without a home.
Kitty has spent her life supporting her daughter Sherry Vickroy, who is legally blind in one eye, and nearly blind in the other. Sherry was diagnosed with cataracts at a very young age and had to have a lens removed in her left eye. Sherry has many other health problems that leave her physically unable to work, including severe rheumatoid arthritis which leaves her unable to perform everyday activities without a significant amount of pain. Despite this, Sherry maintains a household while caring for her mother and teenage sons.
Kitty has spent her life helping others despite the fact that she has very little to give financially. She was very active with the Orioles Club where she organized many fundraisers for families facing hardship. She was active at the Ellet Community Church of God, participating in prayer chains and Sunday school. Over the years, Kitty has opened her home to many, many people and animals down on their luck in need of somewhere to stay. She has always been willing to give anything she has to offer to help someone else.
I am hopeful that our community can pull together to help her leave this world in peace, knowing we are supporting her family through this and to assure her that her family will always have a home.
All donations from this fundraiser will help make it possible for Sherry and her children to stay in the only home they have ever known. Please donate to help save this family.

Sherry also has a string of other health problems, as well as arthritis. She is unable to perform normal daily duties without a signifigant amount of pain. She has applied for Social Security due to her inablitility to work. As most of you know this is a long process. Kitty has always opened her door for those in need. She has let several people live with her when they were down on their luck. Kitty has been the financial support for the family. Kitty is 74 years old and is a diabetic. She is under hospice care and has been told she does not have long to live. Kitty is so afraid to leave this world in fear of her daughter, and her family will be left with no place to live. Kitty has a string of medical bills, and an Equity Loan on the house. Sherry has no income and will not be able to get a loan. I pray for Sherry, and for Kitty. I pray Kitty can go in peace-knowing we are helping Sherry through this. I pray that we are able to make it possible for Sherry and her children to stay in the only home they know. Please donate to help save this family.
