Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Back in September 2020 mom was diagnosed with COVID……about a month after that she went to the doctor for a check up…it was then her PCP noticed her abnormal protein levels in her blood. After an array of test she was diagnosed with aggressive stage 4 multiple myeloma. She immediately started treatment of revlamid/dexamethasone/velicade. She tolerated these treatments very well and her numbers improved. But with the thought of only having 2-3 years she knew she had to do more! So she began the work up for stem cell transplant in March of 2021. She is scheduled for STC July 2021 and we are very hopeful.

Disclaimer- SCT is not a cure- there is no cure for myeloma. We are hoping she will achieve remission with transplant. Remission can last a month or many many years.
