January 2015 I had surgery to remove my ovaries, some cysts on the ovaries, and a large mass on the left ovary. During the surgery the large mass burst and cancer cells from it went through my body.The doctor assured me all would be well, that I would be monitored monthly. In the spring of 2015 I had a colonscopy and had several precancerous cysts removed from my intestines. The doctors gave me new meds to help prevent the cysts from coming back. By the Fall of 2015 the cysts were back in my intestines and in the Winter of 2015 I had them removed and the biopsies showed they were cancer. I started radiation treatments in January 2016 and started iv infusions too. I'm currently doing a series of iv infusions within a clinical study to try to block the cancer cells that mutated. It is my prayer over the course of this year to be proactive with my health, seek the best course of treatments, and to keep my faith through it all.
