As most of you know, Sheri was diagnosed in November of 2017 with Glioblastoma Stage 4, the worst of all brain cancers. My daughter is the strongest woman I know. She has fought this monster with everything she has. 2018 consisted of recovering from her first surgery, radiation, and weeks of chemo. Then in November of 2018, she was faced with a second surgery. All good news after that surgery, but short lived. Six weeks later she has been told she has recurrent tumor around the original site where the tumor had been removed.
Sheri is starting tomorrow with a new chemo, no further surgery for now and no further radiation for now. We have decided to create this page, because time gets away from me (Mom) real quick these days. Her spirits are good and we all still remain very hopeful that we can keep this monster at bay for quite a while longer. This new chemo is supposedly tolerated well, delivered via IV, and done every two weeks for two days. I will let you all know how she is tolerating it.
On a happier note, she got to go see her son this past weekend in Mississippi and got to see Hunter's wife and baby in belly. She can't wait for this new arrival and hopefully Hunter will get home in time. Sheri is trying with everything she has to get there for the birth of of Mailey Blake in late February or March. Will keep you posted on that front too.
